December Millbrook
& Maritime Dead Duffs. |
| The
Freightliner move of the year was booked to be 47815 & 47769
working the 4M58 intermodel from Southampton Maritime, but it never
happened. However, it proved to be quite an interesting day, with two
59s and the EWS cars running. Was also a good chance to get the Pigs
while they are still out in force. I also popped down to Maritime to
see the 47s, but only 47815 was visible from the bridge.

this historic move.

June Micheldever
Pig Drag. |
| A trip out to
Micheldever today for 2403s move to Ilford with 47830. I stopped off
at a bridge just north of Kings Worthy for 4M55 hoping for the usual 2
x 57s but just got 1 today. 4M55 was looped in Wallers Ash so chased
it to the goods loops but a shot was not available. Then popped up to
the curve just south of Micheldever station where various freights and
a 455 were sighted, before 47830 turned up, my lordz! Then back down
to the bridge for 4O51, and 7Y39 which never turned up, but 66702
substituted. A great day, if only it were a little cooler! |

April E-Rail
Grand Day Out Part 1: Worting Brians & Bubble. |
| Yet another
early start today as part of a grand day out on the South Western
Lines with E-Rail. First stop was Worting Junction to get the two 31s
working 1Z82 Clapham Jnc - Salisbury, where they were detached for two
kettles which powered onto Weymouth via Yeovil & Dorchester. Big
up the driver for the Hellfire! The SWT Bubble was also caught running
from Salisbury - Woking where it ran a couple of trips back and forth
to Staines. The usual liners and a very early running 4Z20 were also
snapped. Then it was back to Basingstoke for a train to Woking, see
Part 2... |

other, before 57007 unexpectantly arrived clagging like a kettle. 4Z20
