The 19th April brought less than ideal weather for the tour of the year on southern metals as DRS 'Choppers' nos. 20310 + 20307 made their way down to the south travelling as 1Z30 'The Wey Farer' from Crewe - Weymouth and return. The train conveyed 57601 on the rear to provide ETH for the train as the weather was so glum, and the most unusual sight is seen approaching Eastleigh off the Chandlers Ford line running a few minutes early.
